Follower Checker Classic (aka 1.x)

I’ve seen some posts about people not liking the user interface of the new Follower Checker (please also read this), so I am bringing back Follower Checker 1.x as Follower Checker Classic, for ones who prefer using it.

If you prefer the old Follower Checker:

  1. Remove the new Follower Checker by click on the X icon > Manage Extensions > Follower Checker 2 > Uninstall
  2. Download Follower Checker Classic from the Extension Gallery.

Have an idea for an extension?
Send me an ask! It might be included in the Extension Gallery sooner than you think. =)

GetAudio 1.1 Update

There was a small bug in GetAudio that might cause the “download arrow” to appear more than once in some posts. That has been fixed in 1.1

You should automatically get the new extension in a few hours, but if you want to update manually (recommended), here’s how:

  1. Click on the X icon
  2. Click on Manage Extensions
  3. Select “GetAudio (BETA)”
  4. Select Reinstall / Manually Update This Extension
  5. Refresh the page.

I am really sorry about this, and I thank you for your patience.

XKit Update Jan 25

Apparently, Tumblr is now adding that “+ Upload Photo” link to asks, so there are double links when answering asks if you are using XKit.

This feature will be removed as soon as possible, via Automatic Updates.

In the meanwhile, if you are impatient, you can turn it off by:

  1. Click on the X icon then Manage Extensions
  2. Select Fix and Tweaks, then Change the Settings of This Extension
  3. Turn off “Tweak inbox to enable file uploading to ask replies”

Thank you for your patience.

"I can't see the X icon?"

As a fellow user warned me, you have to go to Preferences on Tumblr, and check “Show my unified Inbox” for the XKit icon to show up.

This will be fixed as soon as possible.

I am really sorry for any inconvenience.

Quick-Asks Update 1.5

I’ve discovered, and fixed, a bug in Quick-Asks that might cause a new line being added to text posts, and a slow down in your browser in some configurations.

You should automatically get the new extension in a few hours, but if you want to update manually (recommended), here’s how:

  1. Click on the X icon
  2. Click on Manage Extensions
  3. Select Quick-Asks
  4. Select Reinstall / Manually Update This Extension
  5. Refresh the page.

Thank you for using XKit, and sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

  1. Click on the X icon
  2. Click on Manage Extensions
  3. Select One-Click Postage 2
  4. Click on Re-install / Manually Update this Extension

Thank you for using XKit.

"XKit is constantly re-installing itself!" and "I can't scroll!"

Yep. It’s a Chrome problem. and I know why it does it.

There might be two reasons for that to happen, and here is how to fix it:

  1. It is because you are installing XKit from Userscripts.org, and not on the Download Now button on this blog. XKit for Chrome differs from XKit for Firefox, and the Userscript.org allows users to download the Firefox Edition.
  2. You have two XKits Installed! Click on the Wrench icon, then Preferences, and then Extensions and remove the that doesn’t have the “X” icon.

I am really sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused, and thank you for trying XKit.

Important: Chrome Users!

If you are installing XKit, please do not use the version of XKit on located on userscripts.org (this page)

Chrome users should use the version of XKit provided on the Download Now link on this blog. Otherwise, XKit might have some permission problems, which can lead to many errors.

Thank you.

One-Click Postage 2: Oops!

I’ve spotted an error in One-Click Postage 2 that might cause some problems.

Please update your One-Click Postage if you’ve updated to Version 2. Here’s how:

  1. Click on the X icon on your Dashboard
  2. Click on Manage Extensions
  3. Select One-Click Postage
  4. Click on Re-Install / Manually Update This Extension
  5. The version should now read “Version 2.0 REV B”

I am terribly sorry about this.

XKit Update Jan 18: "Silent" Update Manager

Yes, XKit is being updated often. And the Update Manager on XKit 5.0/5.1 displays a message every time it updates a part of XKit.

I’ve been reading posts and getting messages on how this can be an annoyance to some, so I’ve disabled those messages.

You should get the updates version in a few hours. If you do not, or wish to update now (recommended), please follow the following steps:

  1. Click on the X icon on your dashboard
  2. Click on Advanced Settings
  3. Click on View / Edit Internal Packages
  4. Click on xkit_update_manager
  5. Click on Re-install / Manually Update this Extension

Thank you for using XKit.

Reminder: Update your Update Manager!

If you have installed XKit before the last 12 hours, you might have a “broken” update manager.

This might cause random error messages, and XKit might keep telling you that it updates certain packages, even though it doesn’t.

Please follow the instructions here to fix it.
Again, I am terribly sorry about this.

[Troubleshooting] If You Have Problems Installing XKit on Chrome..

Some versions of Google Chrome does not have “cross domain support”.

XKit needs that because it accesses my server at www.studioxenix.com to download and install required and optional extensions, as well as updating itself and showing the Extension Gallery.

If you are using the latest version of Chrome, and still experiencing problems, you might need to install one of the following scripts:

  • Black Canvas Script Handler
  • TamperMonkey

I am really sorry about this, but this problem rises from the fact that Chrome does not implement certain userscript/greasemonkey functionality properly.

Then, please reset XKit by following this link:
http://www.tumblr.com/xkit_reset

Please send me an ask if the problem continues even after installing these extensions and updating to the latest release of Chrome. Be sure to take a screenshot of the JavaScript Console. (or at least write down the error messages you can see.)

Thank you. =)

XKit Update Jan 7

Well the recent “Fan Mail” update broke the Quick-Inbox feature.

It’ll be fixed as soon as possible.

I’m so sorry for the inconvenience.
