XKit

A couple of bug fixes today:

1. XInbox: Fixed a bug that would prevent Inbox from opening
2. XInbox: New versions of Firefox has a bug that prevents XInbox from publishing your ask, so tagging asks on Firefox is no longer supported until this gets fixed.
3. XInbox: Fixed a bug that in some cases might mess up the new Followers page.
4. Follower Checker: Compatibility with the new Followers page
5. Follower Checker: Fixed a bug that would show people who unfollowed you as “deleted their accounts”, and fixed the Follow button on people you already follow.

I am aware that for a couple of days people are experiencing problems publishing asks, especially from anonymous people.

It looks like there is a Tumblr server problem going on, since for a message you can not publish using XKit, you’ll get a “Sorry, we are having a technical problem” message from Tumblr if you disable XKit.

I am still trying to figure out what is going on, but for now, it looks like a Tumblr-related error. In the meanwhile, you might want to disable XInbox extension from the XKit control panel.

• A change Tumblr made broke Mute! and Go-To-Dash in a way that would prevent them from creating the buttons on people’s blogs.

• Follower Delta Checker no longer displays “unfollow” button for blogs you do not follow

• Moved the XWidgets “opener tag” to the left side of the screen so it would be less crowded on the middle of the screen
  
  
• Fixed a bug in Keep Tags that would prevent it from keeping the tags in post loaded after an infinite scroll.
  
  
• Small cosmetic changes in In-Dashboard Inbox
  
  
• Tweaks extension is also updated with the following:
  • Fixed the “Small Tags” bug
  • Fixed a cosmetic error on “Remove Recommendations”
  • Fixed a cosmetic error on “Remove Liked Posts”
  • Added option to remove the footer
  • Added option to remove the “Find Blogs” button

Follower Delta Checker has been updated to version 4.0!

What’s New?

1. A refreshed user interface that now shows the icons of people who followed you
2. The interface now shows who unfollowed you or just changed their URL, with buttons to follow and unfollow them on the spot, just like in XKit 5 days.
3. Performance fixes

Today is the first day in months I actually had a lot of time to fix bugs in XKit, so I’ve spent hours doing some adjustments, and fixed a lot of extensions that got broken in the last month.

You should get the fixes in an hour or so. Sorry for any inconvenience these bugs might have caused you, and thanks for using XKit! (oh and more updates are coming soon!)

Oh and also, if you don’t like those +/Follow buttons taking up space on every single post on your dashboard, a new extension, now available in the XKit 6 Extension Gallery called NoWontFollow will hide those buttons for you. =3

If you upgraded from XKit 5 to 6 and keep getting those popups or it reinstalling itself, please read this before sending an ask or a bug report.

There is a bug that I am working on to fix that might cause an error message to appear over and over again, or XKit installing itself, over and over again. Please follow the instructions below to fix this:

1. Did you remove XKit 4/5 as instructed?
   If not,click on the Menu button on Chrome > Settings > Extensions and remove it. If you are on Firefox, delete XKit from the Tools > Greasemonkey Menu
    
2. Update your Browser
   Please upgrade to the latest version of your browser from it’s website.
    
3. Reset XKit
   If that didn’t fix it, or if you still see the old XKit 5 menu, go to www.tumblr.com/xkit_reset to reset it.

The latest Tumblr “improvement” (aka making things even harder to use. I think they enjoy people suffering) on the tags broke a few things.

I will fix the errors on XKit 6, but if you are using Firefox or Chrome please upgrade to XKit 6 since XKit 5 will be discontinued really soon.
