As I’m planning to release XKit 6 in full in a few weeks, I’ve decided to make a short post showing the past of XKit.
XKit pioneered a lot of features now “standard” in a lot of extensions, like previewing notifications, ability to add captions using One-Click Postage, In-Dashboard Asks and a lot more, only available in XKit, like In-Dash Inbox, Themes, Extension Gallery, ability to “short” long posts, XCloud and Highlighting posts using keywords.
Click Read More to see a short visual history of XKit.
Post Crushes extension has been updated to make posts that look like the, well, your crushes on the “Following Blogs” page.
More features related to this extension, and other extensions are coming soon.
Thanks for using XKit!
If you are using XKit 6 Preview Release, here’s some updates for you:
And if you are not, I suggest you to give XKit 6 Preview Release a try today. =3
Looks like Tumblr changed some stuff again.
First, Tumblr implemented it’s own “Quick Reblog” feature, which.. well, only reblogs the post, and does not allow you to pick which blog to reblog to, add tags, add caption, queue or draft. It’s like a retro, 1980s version of XKit’s One-Click Reblog.
Secondly, Blank Posts extension is blocked again with the changes. I am working on fixing it.
And lastly, hopefully, I have some big announcements for this weekend.
Thanks for using XKit! =3
It looks like I’ve made a mistake in Follower Checker 2.3 that causes it to “skip” pages in Mutual Follow Check mode. It’s been fixed now.
Again, you should automatically get the new update in a few hours.
If you don’t want to wait:
Sorry about the inconvenience, and don’t hesitate to send me an ask if it still doesn’t work. Thanks for using XKit!
Yesterday, Tumblr made some changes that broke the Mutual Follower Check mode of XKit. I’ve made several changes, and uploaded the latest version of it.
You should automatically get the new update in a few hours.

Miss being able to create blank posts?
The Blank Posts extension allows you to create blank posts, where you can write only in the tags, or write nothing at all. It’s up to you.
To get Blank Posts:
Please note that it’s an early beta of this extension, so feel free to send me an ask if something goes wrong.
Thanks for using XKit!
Sorry about the lack of updates and new features. The thing is, I’ve been working on XKit 6.0.
In a few days, I’ll be opening a “Beta Test Participation” page, where you can sign up to get the XKit 6.0 Preview Release when it’s done. Detailed information about the new features and changes will be posted in that same page.
Thank you for your patience, and thank you for using and supporting XKit. =)
I should state again that you won’t get your blog deleted for using XKit.
You can see the post made on April 1st here, and check the link on that post which states that it was an april fools joke, but I see that most people just disabled XKit in a hurry because of that.
Again, your account is safe. Tumblr publicly stated that they won’t be deleting any blogs for using XKit, or any other browser extension.
I do feel like I shouldn’t have made that, or at least make it a little bit less.. serious.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or fear it might’ve caused.
Thank you for using XKit.
