Well, after trying for weeks to get Yahoo to admit that their host was down and get them to help me, unsuccessfully, I’ve moved the files that XKit tried to fetch when you try to update/install it to another server. This should, hopefully, put an end to all this website errors.
If you don’t know what’s going on:
- The XKit versions 0.4.0 and up needs to contact my servers, to download the default extensions included with XKit.
- After releasing 0.4.0 Preview Release, my website, hosted by Yahoo Small Business, went down, and started acting weirdly, giving a “Error 999” message, causing XKit installations to fail.
So, if you installed XKit and it’s not working (or if it is working but you are seeing weird error messages), please follow the following steps to get it to work again:
- Click here to download XKit Framework 0.4.1C
- Then click here to perform a clean reset to XKit.
Note that some of your settings, such as your blacklisted words will not be reset, while your installed extensions might get deleted. You can always download them again with one click by going to Get Extensions tab on XKit control panel.
I am incredibly sorry about this, and I thank you for choosing XKit. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an ask.
