I had some time to myself and I’ve decided to fix, update and add fixes to XKit. After 7 hours and a pack of cigarettes later, I’ve pushed updates to the most used extensions of XKit, which should make XKit 6 look more like XKit 6.5.
Click on the Read More to learn more about these features, how to get them, and how to fix One-Click reblog if you are still having problems with it.
What’s New?
One-Click Replies
- NEW: You can now reply to replies under the Notes Drawer that opens when you click on the notes count on a post. Previously, you could only reply to notifications that appeared on your dashboard. Miss it, and you couldn’t reply.
- FIX: Fixed a bug that caused the answer panel to show up when replying using In-Dashboard Replies (the small box that appears when you hover over a notification)
- FIX: Fixed a bug that might’ve caused the In-Dashboard reply to not work well on some browsers.
One-Click Reblog
- FIX: Faster operation
GetAudio
- FIX: A bug that prevented the button from showing up after this week’s tumblr update.
Timestamps
- Re-written from the ground up!
- NEW: Timestamps on nearly all posts, including your In-Dashboard inbox.
- FIX: No more “squished” text.
XInbox
- Faster In-Dashboard inbox
- FIX: Fixed a bug that might cause the new post icons on dashboard to disappear.
- Various other bug fixes
NoWontFollow
- NEW: Now also removes the Follow button on notifications
- FIX: Faster operation
Control Panel
- Various bug fixes
Panaroma
- FIX: Now works with the new Tumblr layout changes of this week.
Post Editor Helper
- Various bug fixes and cosmetic changes
How can I get the updates?
If you’ve just logged in after a couple of hours of not using your computer, you’ll get them right now. If you didn’t, a couple of hours.
You can wait, or manually update each extension by clicking on the X icon on your dashboard, selecting an extension from the left menu, and clicking Manually Update / Re-install This Extension. Refresh the page when you’re done updating the extensions.
My One-Click Reblog is still not working?!
You might need to reset XKit (go to www.tumblr.com/xkit_reset) It’ll delete all XKit related settings and re-install XKit.
Keep in mind that XKit 5 is no longer supported, so you won’t get any fixes related to One-Click Reblog. Resetting XKit 5 or below won’t fix your problems: go to the XKit FAQ to learn how to update to XKit 6.
Enjoying XKit?
As you can see, developing XKit takes a lot of time (and cigarettes.) If you enjoy using XKit, and would like to keep it alive, please donate some money as a way of saying “thank you.” I appreciate that, and thank you in advance.
AN UPDATE:
Someone pointed out to me that the intro text, “decided to work on XKit”, sounds like I only update XKit whenever I feel like it. Here’s an update on that.
