Just letting you know that I won’t be making any updates to XKit for a while (~5-6 days) and might not be able to answer your asks, or respond to Tumblr changes and fix extensions as quickly as I try to do right now.
Read mored, I apologize if you are on mobile.
As you know, these last 5-6 days were kind of busy, with the introduction of Auto Tagger, TagViewer, XCloud, Search on Inbox, Fan Mail on Outbox, bug fixes and new (small) features, so I am kinda burnt-out now.
In addition to that, I’m kinda tired of receiving “lovely” asks, yelling and cursing at me for stuff like notifications (which you can turn off, and there is a warning on the News tab) and follower checker (for the last time, legal reasons.), and stuff that I can not fix, such as Tumblr bugs or the Chrome profile getting corrupt. Apparently, my “solution” is “awful”, and I should be fixing Google’s programming errors too. There is also an extension whose developer keeps spamming XIM/XKit tags (and others) and the people who post under those tags, even after I’ve sent them two asks politely asking them to stop. (If you are reading: the lack of basic etiquette is bad for business. XKit didn’t grew this much with me spamming under my competitors tags. Hell, I would even advertise your extension on this blog if you’ve politely asked.)
Anyways, enough of me whining. The last break I took was around ~20 days ago, and I think taking a short break once a month or so prevents someone from being exhausted from working on something. And as I’ve written before, I don’t want XKit to die like other extensions, this is why I’m doing this.
In the meanwhile, I have a small request from you: as much as I love suggestions and value them highly, I would appreciate it if you hold the suggestions while I’m on a break, since I won’t be able to check my inbox as much as I do, and I would like bug reports to have a priority during this period.
I apologize in advance if something breaks while I’m gone.
Thank you for your understanding, and using XKit.
See you in a week or so.
