The Big Update Friday: Jan 4

I had some time to myself and I’ve decided to fix, update and add fixes to XKit. After 7 hours and a pack of cigarettes later, I’ve pushed updates to the most used extensions of XKit, which should make XKit 6 look more like XKit 6.5.

Click on the Read More to learn more about these features, how to get them, and how to fix One-Click reblog if you are still having problems with it.

New Control Panel!

I’ve just updated the XKit 6 Control Panel to make it even easier to use! With a cleaner look, and split views that allows you to see more extensions and configure them with ease, it is faster and easier to use than the previous control panel shipped with XKit 6.

You’ll get the new Control Panel in a few hours. If you are impatient, you can follow the steps below to get the control panel now:

  1. Click on the X icon
  2. Click on the Advanced Settings tab
  3. Click on Show Internal Packages
  4. Click on xkit_preferences
  5. Click on Manually Update

This is a work in progress, so a brand new Extension Gallery that highlights the most downloaded and the newest extensions, and In-Control-Panel FAQ and Troubleshooting pages are coming soon!

Thanks for using XKit!

NoWontFollow

Oh and also, if you don’t like those +/Follow buttons taking up space on every single post on your dashboard, a new extension, now available in the XKit 6 Extension Gallery called NoWontFollow will hide those buttons for you. =3

Reminder: Update your Update Manager!

If you have installed XKit before the last 12 hours, you might have a “broken” update manager.

This might cause random error messages, and XKit might keep telling you that it updates certain packages, even though it doesn’t.

Please follow the instructions here to fix it.
Again, I am terribly sorry about this.
