“Classic Header” is now “Header Options”

And it allows you to un-stickify the header and make it’s width fixed (which might be useful if you keep trying to click the blank space where the Tumblr logo used to be, like me.)

It also allows you to make the notification bubble on the Inbox red again, so you wouldn’t miss new messages.

If you already have “Classic Header”, you can perform an Update All from XKit Control Panel > Other > Update All to upgrade.

Introducing No Sidebar

No Sidebar is a simple (and experimental) extension that disables the “preview panel” and opens the blog in a new tab instead of on the right side of the screen when you click on an avatar or username.

Since it’s pretty new, please let me know if you experience any problems by sending me an ask. Thank you!

I’m working on bringing One-Click Reblog and more functions to the sidebar view if you enjoy using it.

Introducing Retags

Retags is now available on XKit Extension Gallery.

Retags is an extension written by Lx that allows you to check what tags people added while reblogging a post, both on the Activity page and blog notes popup. Think of it as an inline TagViewer.

Since it’s not written by me, I can’t provide support for it, but you can contact the developer for suggestions and bug reports.

Introducing “No Recommended”

No Recommended is an experimental new extension that removes “Recommended Posts” from your dashboard, and is now available on the Extension Gallery.

Please note that this only removes Recommended Posts. To remove Recommended Blogs on the sidebar, you can use the Tweaks extension.

And since I couldn’t test it personally, if you hit any bugs or see recommended posts after installing it, please let me know by sending me an ask. Thank you!

Introducing Iconified Notifications

Iconified Notifications is a new, experimental extension that replaces words such as “liked your post” or “started following you” with icons, making it easier to differentiate notification types, and freeing up space for post summary.

It’s pretty new, so if you hit any bugs, please let me know by sending an ask. Thank you!

Special thanks to For Orchestra for the idea.

Shuffle Queue is now Queue+

Shuffle Queue has evolved into Queue+, which now lets you clear your queue, hide/show the information and settings bar on the top of the page and “shrink” posts so you can rearrange them much more easily, especially if you have a lot of long posts on your queue.

It’s pretty experimental so give it a try and let me know how I can improve it. (and nope, “pausing” the queue is technically impossible.)

Introducing Themes+!

Themes+ allows you to customize your dashboard just like the “Customize” page lets you change your theme: you can set the colors, choose background images, and enable/disable settings such as shadows, without having to write a single line of CSS code.

You can also import and export themes: when you want to share a theme you’ve made, just export it and post the code so others can start using your theme by just importing it.

Please remember to disable and/or remove Theme Editor and Themes extension before using it. Disabling Stylish themes are also recommended.

This is just a “preview” version of this extension so it’s lacking some functionality: I’m working on more options to make it more flexible and with your feedback it will soon replace the “Theme Editor” and “Themes” extension.

Introducing Post Archiver!

Every once in a while we hit a post that is really useful: it can be a recipe, a website, an audio post we want to listen over and over again, or maybe a post that might come in handy in the future, such as a list of suicide hotlines.

We like them, we reblog them and/or draft them but after a while they get lost. This is where Post Archiver comes in: it saves posts on your computer and lets you organize them. You can rename them, you can categorize them and search them.

Just install it from the gallery, and click on the Save button on any post on your dashboard to get started. You can add/remove/rename categories from it’s control panel, and view saved posts from the button on your sidebar.

It is pretty experimental for now, so if you hit any bugs or have any suggestions, please let me know. Thank you!

Introducing Limit People

Someone on your dash posting a lot? Limit people limits the consecutive posts by the same person appear on your dashboard at once.

If a user makes more than 3 consecutive posts, the rest will be hidden until you click on a button to show them, so you can see what other people are posting.

Note that this extension is pretty experimental so if you hit any bugs, please let me know by sending an ask. Thank you!

Introducing Post Limit Checker

Post Limit Checker is a very, very experimental new extension that allows you to see how many posts you’ve made since the last reset and how many you can reblog until it is reset again.

Just download it from the extension gallery and select your blog from the blog selector on your dashboard (tumblr.com/blog/[url]) and click on the “Check Post Limit” button on your dashboard to get started.

Just go to your Following page, then click on the “Find Inactive Blogs” button below your crushes to get started.

And since it’s pretty new, if you find any bugs, please let me know by sending an ask. Thank you!

Gray Boxes Instead of Photos on Text Posts Update II

It looks like the gray boxes are here to stay, so I’ve written a simple extension called “Auto Load Images”, now available on the extension gallery, that loads the photos without you clicking on them first.

Now, there seems to be a problem uploading images to text posts, it looks like Tumblr forgot a slash on the Javascript code. It is not related to XKit, and it will probably get fixed really soon.

Find Blogs lets you find more blogs similar to the ones you already like. To use it, just click on an user avatar on your dashboard and select Find Blogs and it will show you a list of blogs you might be interested in.

Give it a try and let me know if you hit any blogs.

Please note that this extension requires User Menus+ extension to be installed first.

Introducing Tag Replacer!

Tag Replacer allows you to mass-replace tags with ease. Install it, then go to Posts page on your dashboard of the blog you want, enter the tag you want replaced and the new tag, and Tag Replacer will do the rest.

Since editing posts put a lot of strains on servers, something I would like to avoid, operation of this extension is intentionally slowed down. So if you are going to replace tags of 4,000 posts, it’s better to just start it before going to bed.

Please note that it’s really experimental right now, so if you hit some bugs, please let me know by sending me an ask. Thank you!

Introducing Separator

Separator is a simple extension that shows you where you left off on your dashboard. If the post is deleted or made private, the closest post will be marked with the line, and there is also an option for a thicker line if you feel it’s too thin.

For now it only works on the dashboard, but I’m working on making it work on tracked tags. It’s pretty new so if you hit any bugs, please let me know. Thanks!
