XKit missing after enabling SSL Security? Click to upgrade.
On Firefox 30 ("Nightly") and having problems? Click here for information.

Okay, I’ll be honest. I don’t know why XKit isn’t working on some Chrome configurations. I mean, I know why, but I don’t know why it does it.

You see, some configurations of Chrome blocks cross domain file fetching, which is required for XKit to install itself. The weird thing is, only some version of it does it, and I am unable to replicate the problem on any of the machines I have.

I am working really hard to fix this, and I need your help.

If you are unable to install XKit on Chrome, please:

  1. Update your framework to 5.1 from here.
  2. If it doesn’t install, go to www.tumblr.com/xkit_log, and copy/paste the log, along with your chrome version and your Windows/Mac OS/Linux version and send it to me. (and also add any other extensions you might have installed.)

In the meanwhile, I have yet to receive any bug reports like this on Firefox, so you can give it a try, at least until I fix it.

Again, I am working really hard to fix this. I am incredibly sorry about this, and I thank you for your interest in XKit.
