XInbox and Tagging Asks, Part II

XInbox version 1.9 Rev A is now available. This fixes the tagging problem that I’ve posted about a while ago.

Since I’ve managed to fix the problem by removing the buttons Tumblr adds and replacing them by those created by XKit, unfortunately, now the buttons are in English no matter what language you use Tumblr in, and Queue/Draft buttons are always visible.

I’m working on fixing those two, but for now, you can now tag posts before publishing them once again. Thank you for your patience.

CleanFeed 1.4 Rev A is now available.

This version adds “Smart Filtering” mode which only hides the post contents if the post was posted/reblogged by a NSFW/adult blog. With it on, you don’t have to hover over every single photo while viewing your dashboard, which can get annoying after a while.

You can set the mode it works on by clicking on the “change/help” link on the sidebar under the CleanFeed toggle button.

This mode is pretty experimental, and as the screenshot states, only works if the blog was correctly marked as an NSFW or Adult blog. Bloggers can set this themselves, or if they’ve been blogging for a while, Tumblr sets it for them, depending on the content.

Tweaks Version 2.7 Rev A

This version includes a new feature, written by hackedy, that removes the “web” and “tumblr” search buttons on the search bar and restores the “new” box that appears when you have unread posts on tracked tags.

To use it, make sure you have Tweaks 2.7 Rev A (you can use XKit Control Panel > Tweaks > Update to update it manually or wait for XKit to update itself) then enable “Remove the web search button and show a "new” bubble when tracked tags update“ under the "Navigation and Search Tweaks” section of the Tweaks control panel.

XStats Version 0.2 is out!

This version allows you to check your blog / sideblogs the same way the old version allowed you to analyze your dashboard.

Select a blog/sideblog from the dashboard blog selector and click on the “Blog Stats” button on the sidebar to see which blogs you reblog from most, which types of posts you post most and how much of your content is original.

I’m working on making it work on other blogs by simply visiting them, and it will be made available in a few days.

View on Dash 0.3 now available!

This is a major update to View on Dash, most of it’s features made possible by me switching to Tumblr API v2 (hope this doesn’t get anyone mad), bringing lots of new features such as:

  1. You can now view the whole blog, unlike the previous version, which just showed the last 20 posts.
  2. Support for more post types.
  3. Now shows post source, notes count, and if reblogged, which user the post was reblogged from.

Audio, video and photosets are still not supported, but I’m working on that.

Since it’s still at version 0.3, it’s quite experimental, so please let me know if you find any bugs by sending an ask. Thank you!

Find Blogs 1.1 Rev A is out

Find Blogs was designed to see blogs similar to the ones you follow, but I’ve seen a lot of people wanting to see blogs similar to the ones they have.

So Find Blogs 1.1 adds a button on the sidebar when you go to a posts dashboard of any blog you have (ie: /blog/xkit-extension) so you can check out what blogs are similar to yours.

This version also corrects the API key used to make Tumblr calls, and some bug fixes.

Unreverse, Redux

Yesterday I’ve removed Unreverse since it was causing a lot of problems with people, such as menus not opening and not being able to click some parts of the posts. Since then I’ve received a lot of asks, some saying they were completely okay with the problems, asking it back.

So I’ve rewritten Unreverse: there are some small differences, such as the notes now being on the bottom of the post, not along with the buttons, and it’s now once again available on the extension gallery.

Since I know that Unreverse [might] cause[s] problems, problems I can not fix, it is now unsupported: you can still install it and XKit will not remove it, but I can not provide any help if you have problems.

AccessKit: Final Part (for today)

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’ve just released AccessKit version 1.1, shaped with the suggestions you’ve made (and my inbox is, of course, still open for more suggestions).

This version is depends on some changes made to XKit backend, so if you are going to update it now, please use XKit Control Panel > Other > Update All.

  • Ability to change the post font (default, sans-serif or OpenDyslexic)
  • Ability to turn off sidebar and notification contrast, since some people said it causes headaches.
  • Increased contrast on post edit/creation windows, and more XKit user interface items, such as XKit Notifications.
  • Increased font size on tags
  • Bug fixes

Thank you so much for your help.

Introducing “Grouped Notifications” on Activity+

Activity+ 0.3 Rev A comes with a new feature that allows you to group and condense notifications by post and/or the event.

If more than 2 notifications mention the same post / event, they are hidden until you click the bar on the bottom.

You can get it by waiting for an hour or so for XKit to update itself or by going to XKit Control Panel > Other > Update All. It’s pretty experimental, so if you hit any bugs, please let me know. Thank you!

Introducing One-Click Postage 3.0

This version of One-Click Postage brings a new look, and QuickReblog and QuickQueue buttons to the top-right corner of the blogs. This feature is experimental so it’s disabled by default, but you can disable it from XKit Control Panel > One-Click Postage > Enable QuickReblog and QuickQueue on top right corner.

You can wait an hour or so for XKit to automatically get the update, or you can go to XKit Control Panel > Other > Update All to get it now.

Again, the in-blog reblogging is pretty experimental for now, so if you hit any bugs, please let me know. Thank you! =)

Disable Gifs 0.2 is now available

This version adds photoset support, while the older version just hid all the photoset posts, just in case (since this extension is designed for people who find GIFs distracting or might have epilepsy), and fixes some cosmetic problems, such as wrong aspect ratio on some posts.

I’m working on GIFs added to text posts, and support for it will be made available as soon as possible.

One-Click Postage Update, October 2

Besides fixing a bug that would cause problems with line breaks, version 2.7 Rev G brings a new option on it’s control panel that lets you use HTML on the One-Click Postage pop-up window (disabled by default).

If you like adding HTML to bold text or URLs, you can enable it from XKit Control Panel > One-Click Postage > Enable HTML in One-Click Postage popup.

Introducing XWidgets Version 0.3 Rev A

This version of XWidgets brings you the Audio+ Controls widget.

With it, you can see the title/artist of the currently playing song, and pause/play it without having to scroll up and down on the page trying to find the player.

A few notes though:

  • Due to technical limitations, it only works on the tab where the player is actually playing the music. Does not work with Spotify/SoundCloud players.
  • Requires the API change from Audio+ Version 0.2, so make sure you update it first!

This is pretty experimental, so if you hit any bugs, please let me know by sending me an ask. Thank you!

Introducing Profiler Version 1.1

This version of Profiler brings two features: one is the “Is Following You?” section on Profiler window, which checks if the person is following your main blog.

And the other is to add names / nicks / descriptions to people. Click on the Profiler menu, then Rename Person to add a description to that person.

That description will appear on the Profiler window, or if you have it enabled from Profiler control panel, on their posts on your dashboard and inbox.
