XKit Next 1.0.9

You probably got the update already, but here’s what’s new in XKit Next 1.0.9:

  • Added Post Crushes functionality
  • Added the ability to hide the tags on the sidebar if they contain no new posts, so they wouldn’t take place (especially useful if you follow lots of tags)
  • A new Updates tab that shows what changed
  • Some bug fixes

If you are using Chrome, I suggest you take XKit Next for a test drive.

XKit Next Update 1.0.7

Today’s update is a huge one:

  • Timestamps!
  • Keep Tags!
  • Queue Shuffle!
  • Mini Fan Mail!
  • Portuguese translation! (thanks to allthefaults!)

In addition to all these, XKit Next now has “Turtle Warnings”: little warning boxes that appears on the control panel if an extension might slow down your computer in any way, so you can turn them off to keep XKit (and your dashboard) fast if you experience any performance problems.

With that change, XKit only runs “fast” extensions and disables the ones with turtle warnings unless you turn them on specifically from the control panel.

Also, I’ve switched to jQuery 2.0b2 from jQuery 1.9, which should greatly improve the performance even more.

You can download XKit Next from here if you still don’t have it, and click here to learn how to update yours if you already have it installed.

XKit Next 1.0.4

First of all, thank you so much for the feedback.

Secondly, today I’m releasing 1.0.4 version of XKit Next, which should address most of the asks I’ve received or posts about it I’ve seen:

  • Wrapping Tags added
  • Removed the Mannerisms Bubble ™
  • Removed the Debugging Console
  • Small bug fixes and changes to make translating the user interface easier.

Oh and if you miss the bubble, you can go to https://www.tumblr.com/xkit_toogle_mannerisms to activate/deactivate it again.
